Traveling Tryout Schedule for 2010 CGAA Softball Teams

Saturday, October 3^rd and Sunday October 4^th

at Cottage Grove Middle School

Fields #53, #54 and the batting cage

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Please park and register at Grey Cloud Elementary back parking lot (near field #47). All parents must remain at this location during tryouts. Please no admittance into the Jr. High parking lot unless directed to do so by tryout staff.
First time registrations will require a birth certificate.
Please arrive at least 45 minutes early to allow for time to register and warm up properly.
Tryouts are scheduled to start promptly on the times listed below:

16U 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM

14U 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

12U 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM

10U 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

18U 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

**All Pitchers and Catchers: will follow the initial try out session**

**Players must attend tryouts on both days to be eligible to participate on a traveling team

(With exceptions of approved situations by the Traveling Director or President prior to the tryout)

What age group should you be trying out for?

In accordance with ASA*USA Junior Olympic Softball, the traveling league uses the player’s age on December 31 of the previous playing year to determine which level they may play at. Check the chart below to see which age level you should be trying out for, according to your birth date. The age divisions are as follows:

* Board approval is required for any girl trying up for an older age-level team and the player must try out at both levels.

** Board approval is required for an 8 year old to try out for 10U.

Medical waivers must be approved by the Softball President, Justin Voerster prior to tryouts.

Fees Required at Tryouts

CGAA Softball is proud to announce that there will be no increase in registration fees for the 2010 traveling season. There is a change in how fees are applied. Fees will be broken down as follows:

When attending tryouts, please bring two checks. If your daughter does not make a traveling team, the check for the Traveling Registration Fee will be refunded. The $15 tryout processing fee will not.

There will be NO REFUNDS if your daughter decides not to play after accepting a roster spot a on a team!
