CGAA Softball registration for the 2013 In House season is now open!

To make the registration process smooth and convenient, we are offering the same low price online or in person.

Levels of Play and Costs are:

Rookies added, Majors and Minors leagues continue in East Metro Fastpitch League

We are pleased to announce that Rookies (for grades 5 & 6) will be joining the Majors and Minors divisions in the East Metro Fastpitch League, partnering with East Ridge, Woodbury and other surrounding communities to form a larger, more fun and competitive league. For those that participated last year, we have plans to make the league even better than last season. We are excited about the opportunity for the girls at these level as this relationship with Woodbury continues to grow.

For the 2013 season, we will also be continuing our relationship with the East Ridge Athletic Association at all levels where they will be fielding teams, primarily, the lower age levels.

Coaches Needed

We are also looking for coaches for the 2013 In House season season.

All coaches are subject to a criminal background check. Coaches will be also required to complete the Heads Up Concussion Awareness certification prior to the start of the season, if you have not already. If you have completed the certification for another sport, only a copy of your certificate is required.

To complete the Concussion Awareness Certification, Form, complete the training and then click the link at the bottom of the page to register. The registration process captures your contact information and allows you to upload a copy of your certificate to be kept on file. Certification is good for 3 years.

Financial Assistance Available

CGAA Softball has limited funds available to assist those with financial assistance needs. Please contact us at registration@cgaasoftball.com for more information. Assistance levels will be determined by a committee and no determinations of assistance will be made at either of the In Person registration sessions, applications must be submitted prior to registration. Applications are due by March 25.

2013 Winter Skills Clinic Registration

CGAA softball is very excited to partner with Julie Standering’s Minnesota Fastpitch Academy (MFA) for many of our winter clinics this year. This is a great opportunity for the players to sharpen their skills during the off season. The clinics will be held in the Park Activity Center and will be broken out by age groups. The athletes will be instructed on the mechanics of the swing, throwing and receiving, and the mental aspect of the game of softball. Space will be limited and will be on a first come/first serve basis so make sure you register early to secure a spot.
